Longest line we’ve seen in Montreal for brunch. Probably the line was 60 meters (200 feet) long or so.
It has nice decor, surprisingly friendly staff (very nice people), and the service was superb. Yes they had them all when we were there. And if you haven’t tried Régine Café, this picture album review might make you want to go there this weekend 😉
Here’s what we tried:
Fresh beet & ginger juice. Delightful start for weekend brunch! Loved it Refreshing just like the bright color!
Cucumber mint lemonade. To us, instead of fresh lime or lemon flavour, it was more like vinegary sourness, so won’t order it again.
Highlight of the visit: Scotch egg. Perfectly runny warm egg yolk & juicy spicy sausage (too bad the picture doesn’t show) surrounded with lightly crispy bread crumb. 10/10 for us!
Bacons are all good!! Wish they were thicker bacons though, but it you don’t mind the thickness, you’ll like the extra bacons.
Trout gravlax with corn waffle. It had me at corn waffle 🙂 Though the waffle itself was not crispy outside at all, trout gravlax was incredibly fresh; homemade salsa was tasty; cream cheese sauce was melting.
Hope this short review helps! Cheers.
