Goi cuon Fresh spring rolls

Goi cuon Fresh spring rolls

FRESH spring rolls with peanut sauce (no unpleasant shrimp smell at all. Well sometimes I smell/taste something fishy…)

Bun rieu

Bun rieu

Bun Rieu: Never had it before, found it most delicious crab & shrimp, tomato based soup. The soup includes vermicelli,  crab & shrimp paste, Vietnamese pork roll or ham(cha lua) and fried tofu.  Probably best soup I’ve had, really just like any type of great grandma’s style soup!  Meaning that the soup takes time to make, and that it has deep richness in its flavour there in the soup.

Banh Mi Bo - Lemongrass beef banh mi

Banh Mi Bo – Lemongrass beef banh mi

Banh mi bo:  it’s a french baguette slathered with mayo, stuffed with pickled vegetables(carrots, daikon, etc) and lemongrass marinated beef. I was amazed by its sweet soy sauce and beef, thinking it was one of the best banh mi. Just YUM!

Agar-agar jelly

Agar-agar jelly

Agar-agar jelly flavoured with coconut and chocolate, not too sweet of a dessert

Banh tet chuoi - Vietnamese rice cake with banana

Banh tet chuoi – Vietnamese rice cake with banana

Banh tet chuoi – Discovering Vietnamese desserts. All natural, made of sweet sticky rice & banana wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. Really surprised by its unique flavour and texture of banana  All sold out, it was the last one.
